Over the summer, a proposal was made to Brandon University to remove the hedge bordering the university campus, primarily along the 18th Street sidewalk.

Brandon University announced that they will soon be acquiring more property in downtown Brandon adjacent to the newly-acquired Strand Theatre building.

On Monday, December 12th, 2016, Brandon University acquired local historical site, the former Strand Theatre property. The Strand Theatre is located on the 100-block of 10th Street in Brandon’s downtown district, and BU took possession of the property deed from Landmark Cinemas for the price of $1.00 CAD.
