On July 13th and 14th, the Oak Lake Shaker will be rockin’ the Oak Lake area for the second year in a row. With all proceeds going to Westman Dreams for Kids, the all-ages event promises the performance of several local bands and free camping and tenting for everyone.

Kicking off at 3:00 pm on July 13th and ending at 7:00 pm on July 14th, the Oak Lake Shaker features local talent. In addition to host group Days of Anarchy, other bands on the billet include Saxton, 4X4, Rollin’ and Tumblin’, Pauls Hauling Make Up Band, and Joe and Friends, as well as Common Sense Hero and Torn From Flames, groups who have previously performed in Brandon.

The entrance fee is $5.00 at the gate, or a $10.00 donation can be given to be entered to win one of several draw prizes, including a 42” TV, a barbecue, shirts, hats and other merchandise. Camping is free, and food and beverages can be purchased on-site, with all proceeds given to a local non-profit organization, Westman Dreams for Kids.

A locally-registered, non-profit organization, Westman Dreams for Kids is dedicated to helping kids affected by a serious illness who live in the Westman area. Their goal is “to give children facing a serious illness or health challenge something to smile about.”

Even though it is an all-ages event, those of legal drinking age are permitted to bring their own alcoholic beverages and drink responsibly.
