From July 26th to 28th, the Wheat City is hosting its 29th Annual Brandon Folk, Music and Art Festival. Musical guests this year include Hawksley Workman, Martha Wainwright, Young Folk, Imaginary Cities, Young Pixels, Ingrid Gatin, Oldfolks Home, and many more.
In addition to superb musical entertainment, the Folk Fest promises dance, concessions, a family area, art installations, on-site camping, silent auction, and an emerging artist program.
Brandon Folk Fest will be looking for volunteers again this year, and applicants are encouraged to submit theirs as soon as possible.
Early bird tickets for this year’s celebration are available in Brandon at Lady of the Lake, Faders Music, Brandon University Students’ Union Office, Ten Thousand Villages, and Ted Good Music. Tickets can also be obtained in Winnipeg at the Neighborhood Bookstore & Café and the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store, and in Onanole at Poor Michaels Bookshop and Café.
