Volleyball teams went out West to face some stiff competition from the UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver. The men would take two losses, winning only a single set, while the women would take a loss and a victory, totaling five sets won.
The women played right until the fifth set on their first night in BC. Winning the first set was huge for the women, taking the early lead, but slowly they fell behind. The scores got worse for the women before they got better as in the second set they lost 19-25 and then 13-25. The next two sets would go right till the end as they won the fourth 27-25 and just barely lost the fifth 14-16.
Saturday night though, things got heated right from the get go and the Bobcats took the first two sets both by 25-23. In the third set the Thunderbirds would bounce back but the Bobcats went for the kill in the fourth match, again 25-23. It was quite the impressive victory for the women as they defeated the top-ranked team!
