In-Person Orientation for the First Time in Three Years!
by Ronnie Kayla Neiman
The last couple of years has been chaotic and life-altering for a lot of people and places. That includes Brandon University.
Drastically switching from being at the university in-person to going online in the last few weeks of the 2020 semester was a struggle for students and faculty alike. There was improvement over the following year for online studies. It was much easier to navigate. Then last year, or rather last semester classes once again changed. This time back to in-person classes. It was again mid-semester, which made it difficult to adjust to the change once again.
Now, the fall of 2022, classes and services on campus resume to an in-person format. Though the wearing of face masks is strongly recommended.
Orientation for three years worth of students has been ongoing during the month of August and continues into September.
The next two weeks are chalked full of events for students new and returning to orient themselves to a changed world. It will be interesting to see how the university has adjusted to the events of the past three years.
Be sure to check out the various events all over campus, gather some information and get a few free things as well!
Remember to stay safe and welcome (back) to Brandon University everyone.
