The Quill: What do you feel most qualifies you for this position?
Emily Simon: [For 10 years] I have been the president and vice president of 4H clubs and area councils. These executive positions have taught me [a lot] about how to work with people to get the best outcome. Another valuable skill I learned over the years in 4H is public speaking. I am confident in speaking in front of people [and] this will help me in this position to communicate on behalf of the student union.
TQ: Please explain one goal that you would like to achieve in the position, should you be elected?
ES: I would really like to try and get students more business discounts on the paw pass because it is such a good program for students to have access to.
TQ: What is your favourite campus activity?
ES: My favourite campus activity is simply just hanging out in the Mingling Area on the new couches between classes, and chatting with friends over a coffee from Forbidden Flavours.
