Tuesday, February 7th, is e-Day and Send A Card To A Friend Day. e-Day celebrates the mathematic constant e, which has a numeric value of 2.7182818. Celebrate this day by sending a card to a friend, or designing a math equation where the answer is e.
Wednesday, February 8th, is Laugh and Get Rich Day. While getting monetarily rich would be nice, the day celebrates enriching your life through happiness. I, however, would think winning the lottery would make you happy, so it would also count.
Thursday, February 9th, is Toothache Day and Bagel and Lox Day. Rather than having a painful toothache, make sure to brush your teeth and maybe visit your dentist today. Lox is cured salmon sliced thinly; a Jewish food sometimes eaten on bagels with cream cheese. This pairing is usually eaten for breakfast or brunch.
Friday, February 10th, is Umbrella Day. Umbrellas were first a fashion accessory before they were functional for shielding you from the elements. Make sure to match your outfit for the day with an umbrella to shield you from the wind, snow, rain, or sun.
Saturday, February 11th, is Make A Friend Day and Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Day. So go out and try to make a new friend, but if it doesn’t work? That’s alright. No use crying over spilled milk, as the saying goes.
Sunday, February 12th, is Darwin Day. This day celebrates the birthday of Charles Darwin, famous for his theory of evolution. You can celebrate by taking a crash course in evolution (some exist online), reading his book The Origin of Species, or visiting a museum of scientific/natural history.
Monday, Febraury 13th, wraps up our week with Clean Out Your Computer Day and World Radio Day. Spend some of your free time today cleaning your computer physically, or deleting old files that you no longer need. While you’re cleaning your computer, turn the radio on and listen to some music or a radio broadcast.
How are you planning to celebrate your week? Will you celebrate any of these events? Tweet us @QuillBU with your celebrations!
