Brandon University holds it’s official 2017 Christmas Banquet for its residence students on November 23rd. This provides a welcome distraction from the business of the end of term, as well as giving residence students a festive Christmas meal at their home away from home.
So, if you’re a residence student make sure you don’t forget to grab your ticket, and enjoy the festivities. The dinner is set to take place in Harvest Hall starting with cocktails at 5:30PM, and supper starting at 6:00PM. As an additional expense to the supper ticket, residence students are permitted to purchase alcohol. The alcoholic beverages available for purchase include a bottle of wine (white, rose, or red), coolers, and mixed drinks. One alcoholic beverage is permitted per student, and like the supper ticket, is charged to the student’s meal plan.
Supper tickets and alcohol tickets are available for purchase through the cafeteria cashiers during cafeteria open hours, however wine was only pre-orderable up to the 24th of November. The festive menu available includes a selection of: dinner rolls with butter, Caesar salad, carved turkey (with cranberry sauce), homemade stuffing, buttered corn, mashed potatoes with gravy, perogies with sour cream and chives, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, make sure you tell the cafeteria employee selling you your ticket, as you might be entitled to a discount or they might have to prepare something special. Don’t miss out on the holiday fun, socialization with friends, and a delicious meal (plus don’t forget the alcohol) and grab your banquet ticket!
