The Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium (WMCA) has a line-up of events for every taste this November.
Beginning with Ron James, award-winning comedian known for his satire and wit, who comes to Manitoba for his Full Throttle tour. With eight critically acclaimed one-hour comedy specials and five seasons starring in his own series The Ron James Show and praised for “cutting a wide swath through contemporary culture with razor sharp wit, uncompromising standards and unique poetically honed delivery”, the laughs begin November 17th at 7:30PM.
Twelve Angry Jurors also opens November 17th, based on the Emmy-award winning television movie, following the jury deliberation for the trial of a 19-year-old accused of fatally stabbing his father. Directed by George Buri, this drama stars 15 of Westman’s finest actors.
Get into the holiday spirit with Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker, opening November 20th at 7:00PM. World-class Russian artists grace the stage with larger than life puppets, nesting dolls, and hand-crafted costumes for their 25th anniversary tour.
ABBA and The Bee Gees come to Manitoba November 21st and 23rd with ABBAmania and The Legends, the world’s Number One production of ABBA. Experience studio musicians that recreate ABBA live in concert – the only ABBA production to perform twice for the cast of Mama Mia. Also featuring Night Fever as the Bee Gees. Special guests for the evening include impersonators performing the hits of Cher, Paul McCartney, Adele, and Rod Stewart.
Talented students from Neelin high school are guaranteed to shine with their production of Singin’ in the Rain November 30th to December 2nd. Performing unforgettable songs and memorable moments from the movies, this show promises dancers, music, and comedy.
